Blacklist
The blacklist which at first sounds like it has a notorious nature to it, actually had something to offer, the background of just 50 of the worlds most renowned names in Black culture, when i saw the picture of each individual i noticed their expression, their posture. When looking at their expression i saw the pride in their eyes, and expression each face had told a story of both trimph & failure, but most importantly all comprised at the right time to have them where they stand today. Each day made them smarter than the one before. For example in P.diddys picture i saw the ups and downs that he wore on his face, the time when he finally branched out and became his own record label, and alos the pain of losing not only a good business partner but also a friend in Notorious B.I.G. IN Samuel L.Jackson picture i saw posture he sat up right chest out chin up proud of where he came from, but not surprised of where he is headed. Knowing that over the years the marks and impacts he made in his movies would make him a very sought after commodity in the acting industry. All of which has him where he sits in modern society as it stands today
Paradox
The Monticello as it was called was more than just a house to live and keep slaves. It was a fortress it covered a vast amount of land had lord knows how many rooms that families , entire generations were raised in. What made this massive fortress even worse was the surroundings i was built in . There were almost hundreds of thousands of acres in between the house and the nearest civilization. Escape was so futile that even impossible wasn't a good enough word to use in this case. As stated before there were so many slaves living on the Monticello, that there probably enough to have been able to fit on a small ship

Word and image
Image to me paints the picture of shape and form... it give life to idea, or object. The word shows and speaks on what the object cant say so they each need to make the idea work. The image gives the words something to speak about and market, while the words give the image a history name face and value to its representation.

ARH216
Before i saw this I had no idea that there idea of a symbol could be broken down into this many categories from index, iconography , and other items. Now i know there is a clear differance as despite all being visual art. Most of it to me all came across the same , as symbols we know to relate to a certain item within society. Whats even more surprising when you think about it is that there are signs that were used long before certain companies came around, and yet years down the line you will see the same symbol or something close to it. The uniqueness of this is that the logo can have a completely different ,meaning and idea than how the symbol was used for prior to the company that uses its service today.
